Position: Graduate Architect - Full Time Permanent

Location: Lilongwe, Malawi

BAM Designs Architects has an immediate opening for a full time Graduate Architect. As a Graduate Architect, you will be joining a practice based in Lilongwe, that due to growth in project pipeline, are now seeking to add to their design team. The successful candidate will be involved in a range of projects in Malawi and abroad. This role offers a great opportunity to grow and support a dynamic and fast-growing Architectural firm.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

• Exceptional design and technical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Producing detailed working drawings, specifications and 3D renderings using computer-aided design (CAD) software and Revit, ArchiCAD or any other relevant design tools.

• Conducting site visits to gather data and assess the feasibility of design proposals.

• Providing technical support throughout the construction phase, addressing any design-related issues that may arise.

• Keeping abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and innovation in our projects.

To be successful in your application you will possess the following;

• Holders of a degree in architecture/Architectural Studies from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role is preferred. Recent graduates may also be considered depending on Portfolio.

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD or any other relevant design tools.

• Microsoft Office suite proficiency.

• Strong portfolio with good design skills and keen attention to detail.

• Previous experience on residential, mixed-use and commercial projects is desired.

• Knowledge of building regulations and construction technique.

BAM Designs Architects has an immediate opening for an Architectural Technician who would like to join a medium sized architectural firm. This role offers a great opportunity to support a dynamic and fast-growing Architectural firm.

Duties will include, but not be limited to;

• Collaborating with senior architects and other professionals to develop design concepts.
• Producing detailed working drawings, specifications and 3D renderings using computer-aided design (CAD) software and Revit, ArchiCAD or any other relevant design tools.
• Conducting site visits to gather data and assess the feasibility of design proposals.
• Assisting in the preparation of City planning applications for approvals and building regulations documentation.
• Coordinating with contractors and vendors to ensure that designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
• Providing technical support throughout the construction phase, addressing any design-related issues that may arise.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and innovation in our projects.

To be successful in your application you will possess the following;

• Qualification in Architectural Technology (essential), or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD or any other relevant design tools.
• Strong technical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the architecture or construction industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of building regulations and construction technique.
• Good time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Good detailing skills.
